it was pana look as a preset and magic bullet in post.
thanks for the positive comments, i was so lucky that there were boats moving through the locks at the time as it was boxing day and i thought the place would be very quiet.
The camera caused a stir and people were asking if it was going to be on the BBC. (I wish!)

Ive just re uploaded the film with mpeg4 encoding to see if i can get a better look at the hd setting...

Ullswater on ER

Hey John, just watched this video of yours on ER. Lovely stuff and colour - makes me miss the hills and lakes (I used to live in Manchester/spend a lot of time up there in them...not many hills in Cambridgeshire!)

I really liked the transition to the duck from scenery shots along with the music mood change. My only critisism (and as I said before, who am I to dish this stuff out!) is that I think you used a shot (at about 1min 25 or so secs in?) that I'd seen earlier? or it seemed like that.

Great stuff, I'll look out for your work in the future!

Hi thanks Andy, oh darn it you spotted that haha, yep I was so short on time at the location and final footage that i repeated a shot ( I take it you are refering to the lake district film? ) .some of the footage i wanted to use just wasnt good enough for various reasons so it wasnt used.

Ive re encoded the 'rosewood' film and i think it looks much better in HD mode now, not perfect but much better in full screen.
Its taken me a while to find the best encoder settings for upload to the site.

Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.
appreciated.
Cheers John

What preset on the Ullswater piece. The pinks were fantastic. White balance or k setting?
Thanks if you reply.
Nice work.
