Playback On TV Looks Yucky
Hey there...
I'm sure there is a really simple answer to this that as soon I hear it will feel stupid for not knowing it myself, however... I got my new Xh-A1 today from B&H. Did some quick shooting around the house just to try it out. Plugged it into the TV to take a look at it and it looks orange. Orange and blue actually. On the viewfinder it looks perfect however. What am I doing wrong that it comes out looking so poorly on the TV? Thanks |

Check your component connections at both the camera and on the TV. If the RCA plugs are not in their correct receptors, like you plugged the red cable into the green receptor, you will get very undesirable results.
Also check the cable and receptor on the camera end to make sure that it's free of foreign material. It could prevent the cable from making a good connection with all of the pins. I had one of the component inputs on a little 19" LCD pack up and I got something similar to what you describe. It looked pretty much like the dog's dinner. That little receptor would probably still be working if I hadn't dropped the set in the driveway. |

Yes, it was a cable problem.
