A1s & G1s DEBUT AT BIRNS 12/17
Happy Holidays !!! On Wednesday, Dec 17th at 6pm, Canon will be here for the LA debut of the new XH-A1s and XH-G1s. Tim Smith, the long time Canon Technical Services manager, will be here going over the many improvements on the cameras. In addition, post production workflow with 24F/30F modes AND a look at the new 5DmkII SLR camera with it's possible applications in our industry. YEA!! There's no charge and there is free food and drinks, free validated parking here at the ArcLight, and, if that's not enough, we will raffle off a new HV30 camera to a lucky person in attendance (Thanks Canon)!!!! So if you're in LA, don't miss this great evening with Canon. You can sign up on our web site www.birnsandsawyer.com or call us at 323-466-8211 ...so we know how much food the caterer needs to bring!

As a quick follow up, the evening went well, the new A1s/G1s lens gears feel really good and the new connectors will hold up better. The 5Dmk II really had everyone's attention. We saw alot of really good footage on the big screen, especially the night footage of the shuttle launch....shot from 3 miles away and you could see amazing detail plus it handled the massive light change extreamly well. But, its not very practical to shoot alot of video...yet.
As a quick note, we got a few A1s in stock today. Jim Martin Birns & Sawyer Inc |
