Calibrating the LCD and EVF

Is there any way to set the LCD and the EVF to actually show you the full frame that is being shot?
I notice on some shots once imported in my NLE that I have to zoom in slightly to get rid of 'stuff' which was not on the LCD or on the EVF when I took the shot.

Any ideas welcome,

Cheers
