XH-A1 went dead.

Is there a reset, or anything I can try to get the XH-A1 to come on, battery is fine, works in my other A1, it came on when I went to capture then just went dead, no life showing at all.

Denny

Hi Denny. Have you checked the Standby/Lock switch beside the Start/Stop button? If it is slightly out of position the camera will appear to be dead.

Tried both of those, but no luck looks like it will have to go back to canon, luckily its exactly 11 months old, I hope the turn around time is good.

Before you send it anywhere, you might want to polish up the contacts within the battery compartment. Some schmutz might have gotten in there.

I've not heard of this happening, but it's worth checking before you ship it off.

Did you use OTHER than CANON batteries?

Does your AC power-supply work?

If not, sounds like you burnt out your power board.
