Canon XH A1 Mic holder

Sorry if I have put this thread in the wrong catergory.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting the mic holder that is screwed onto the side of the Xha 1 Camera.

I was trying to unscrew it to get the rode mic holder out of it and the thread has broken on the screw.

So i am looking to buy a replacement holder to screw back on.

Based in the U.K but if there are any spare part sales abroad i am willing to buy.

Hope you can help.

hiya wayne

i too had an unfortunate mishap, i left behind at a wedding the lens hood and couldn't find one to buy anywhere

but eventually got a lead:
H Lehmann Ltd (Staffordshire)
Camera Repairs by Lehmanns Direct

if u get in touch with them about spare parts, as they are an official Canon Service Centre so they should be able to help

good luck!

I had exactly the same thing. I emailed Canon and they send me to the company who does the parts and repairs for them. They charged me € 30,- for it. 15 for the micholder and 15 for the handling...

So i guess that the best thing for you would be to call/email Canon UK.

edit: Didn't read Richard's comment. That would be fine.
