Canon XH A1 workflow question
Hi all,
I have read in my Canon HV30 manual that is able to read tapes from XL H1, HX G1 and XH A1. My idea is to use the Canon XH A1 as a recorder and the HV30 has a player and reviewer unit, to reduce XH A1īs heads wear. Has someone use the same method? If I play the XHA1 tapes (1080 50i) in the Canon HV30, is there any quality change? Could I loss quality if I transfer files to PC from HV30 instead XH A1?. Thanks a lot |

No. It's digital.
The only thing that could occur would be frame drop but you'll know straight away if that happens. |

Thanks, Bill.
I suppose if I have a frame drop I can see it clearly in Sony Vegas Video 8 capture window (frames dropped). So, I think it is a good politics to save XH A1 heads from wear. |
