FCP 6.0.4 60i maine media workshop
So I'm up here in Maine at the media workshops, and working on FPC 6.0.4, it seems that no one here know about using 60i for slow motion. I'm a pro using 60i with after effects, and adobe premiere. But its as if apple has left out any support for 60i field interpolation. Can some one explain to me why with seemly simple feature, seems to not exist?
Thanks a lot guys! btw if you don't know, Maine media work shops are very very cool. http://www.theworkshops.com/ Last edited by Adrian Stucker; August 26th, 2008 at 07:24 PM. Reason: added link |

I would also like to know this. I don't own an A1 yet, but I will very soon. I plan on doing a lot of 60i slow motion with fcp 6.0.4. I don't see how fcp can't do this... I know a guy who does 60i slow motion with the A1. However, he converts all his footage to the dvcpro codec via black magic, instead of using the HDV workflow... Perhaps he was having the same problem? It'd be sweet if someone could shed some light on this. Bill Pryor where are you? Haha.

I think there many threads about slow motion... I would do a search. I don't believe FCP can make any slow motion 60i look good. My best experience is with RE:Vision Effects plugin Twixtor.
