Padding A1
Is it possible to use the A1 20db pad in addition to external pad like the DI box to bring the levels down. I have Di box with 40db pad and i am concerned about the sound might get distorted. Thx

You can try it and it won't hurt your camera. No guarantee it will do what you want. I tried the same thing using a switchable pad (-20, -30, -40) and all I got from a line level feed was garbage at lower volume.
Try it and see. It might work in your situation. There are smarter people than me that hang out on the audio section. You might want to check around there. |

I got good news, i tried it this weekend and it worked well with the camera pad on. I had my Di box @ 40db but without the camera pad the sound still get distorted.
