Burn-in time code

A friend with an XH A1 wants to record some DVDs with burn-in time code, direct to a DVD burner. My camera is at my office so I can't try to track it down. Did a search on here and can't find any mention of how to output visible time code from a tape. Anybody know? Thanks.

Presumably this is for burning SD to DVD? Are you wanting to go via FireWire?

Why not use the analog outputs of the XH A1 and the analog inputs of the DVD recorder? Turn the display information on and it should appear on the analog video output.

In my experience, there's no detectable difference in quality betweein analog input and FireWire input.
