SD 24f in 2:3 is interlaced.
Hey everybody!
I finally got my hands on an XH-A1 and it's AMAZING. I'm only confused about one little thing. I shot some tests, some in HDV, another in SD 24f, 2:3 pulldown. In Premiere Pro 2.0, the SD 24f looks great in the preview while editing; progressive, clean, awesome. I decided to look at the unedited source footage through Windows Media Player, but amazingly, my footage was interlaced. I don't really understand 2:3 pulldown completely, and I'm not sure whether that's causing the interlacing or what, but I'm just concerned about when I output a project and it looks worse (that's another thing, I tried to render the clip to an AVI and it looked even worse in WMP). Also, could someone tell me the cleanest settings when rendering to an AVI when using SD 24f in Premiere Pro 2.0? Here's what I'm working with: XH-A1 24f, 2:3 pulldown, 16:9 SD NTSC Widescreen 48 kHz 24p DV project preset in Premiere Pro 2.0 Thanks, Alex |
