Very high noise in recently purchased XH-A1
Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I have recently purchased a XH-A1; it's my first "prosumer" camera. I have noticed very high noise levels, specially in low noise conditions. I mean VERY high levels. For example, check this video (it begins after a short commercial):
http://www.hispasonic.com/videos/cla...-model-momento Please pay attention at the first seconds of he video, when the camera focus to the keyboard (hidden under a black fabric). I was recording in auto or easy mode, I don't remember. I just want to know if that's the normal behaviour of this camera and it needs to be "tamed" in the manual modes, or maybe I just got a defective unit. Could you point me in the right direction. |

Make sure your Auto Gain switch is turned off.

This is surprising. My lowly GS500 is smart enough not to engage gain unless required.

It gain probably was required based on the image content brightness and the auto exposure shooting mode employed.
