Any HDV camera will work for capture for XH A1 footage?
I am assuming that any camera that handles HDV footage can capture Xh-A1 footage?
This does not include the ACVHD cameras or whatever that codec is, right? And any SD camera will capture footage shot on XH-A1 in SD correct? Will a PANASONIC SD Camera be able ot get 24F/30F and 60i footage into Premiere Pro? (I'm assuming a drop down is included when thew camera is put to tape just like in other cams) |

as far as i know if you shoot in 60i any hdv camera can be used as a deck. if you shoot in either of the 24f or 30f rates then the only cameras/decks that can read this format is the canon hv10, hv20, hv30, as well as the xh-a1/g1 and the xl-h1.

As Rob said 60i and 50i will play via any HDV cam. 'Frame' mode will only play via Canon cameras

HV20/30 can be used as playback deck. It can playback 60i, 30F and 24F recorded in A1.
