Audio Questions

My main issue is after reading the manual is what kills the built-in mic? Is it when i go into the menu and turn on the xlr inputs? Im willing to call someone on my dime to get some answers quick. Alls im wanting to do is make sure i keep 2 channels of audio, wireless on one and boom on another.

Thanks
John

Hi John.......

Yes. Turning on the XLR's kills the on board mic.

In addition make sure you don't send XLR input 1 to both channels, there is a switch for this next to the XLR inputs. Easy mistake to record one input onto both channels if you are in a rush.

and on the flipside if you forget to turn OFF the XLR option in the menu you'll record no sound if you have nothing going into the XLRs.

I've done it. I think I've done everything wrong at least once.
