Editing A1 footage: RT.X2 vs. Cineform
Hi all:
I've decided to invest in either a hardware or software solution to help take the sting out of editing the HDV footage captured by my A1 for use with Premiere CS3. I had initially settled on the Cineform Aspect codec, but it seems to conflict with a critical tool I use in my consultancy (Camtasia Studio). This is a deal-breaker for me, and my support request to Cineform has as yet gone unanswered. I've noticed that plenty of A1 users in this forum make use of the Cineform codecs for editing in Premiere. Do any of you use hardware-based solutions like the RT.X2 from Matrox? Any other manufacturers I might consider? Many thanks, Daniel |

I've used Camtasia Studio without problems, what is the issue? I asked Jake in support, and he said he also found no issue, but was try to match you PC configuration before he replied (told he to at least inform you of his findings so far.)
