What camera settings do you use for green screen shoots (Canon A1)
Hi there,
I've been shooting on the A1 in interlaced mode (i) with the shutter speed set to 50. I noticed with fast hand movements keying can become a bit more difficult and so i upped the shutter speed to 100. I'm keen to get the best results with the camera. Has anyone shot using the 25f function? In the past ive always been advised to shoot chroma key in progressive mode but the a1 doesnt have true progressive mode and ive read it it can result in more jerky footage. Any suggestions/stories etc. would be great :) Stick |

I do a lot of green screen for the web. I shoot with NTSC model XH A1, setting are 60i DV mode with gamma set at cine 1. Usually I never go below 1/60 of a shutter for the mere fact of blurring. I have had very good results from the XH A1 with green screen, it sounds like you on the right path. Cheers Castillo http://bluebarnpictures.com/blog/ |
