Just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the feedback. I ended up going with a COS-11x hardwired lav. Just got it yesterday and it cracks me up, how something so small costs so much. Sound quality is most important, the documentary I'm shooting is evolving in its own way but I'm finding that having a complete set of tools is the only way to be ready for anything. If I was interviewing Putin I might be concerned with more than just sound quality though ;-)
