Trouble importing XH-A1 footage
I'm having trouble importing footage to iMovie HD 06 from my A1. It seems that iMovie doesn't recognize the camera. As a test, I hooked up my G1 and
get instant recognition. I do have the AV to DV switch set to off. This is my first attempt to import HD footage. Suggestions? Don |

A very common problem is the user adjusting and making changes to the menu while the firewire is attached to the computer and powered-up. Make sure, if you are adjusting the menu, that the camera is powered off.

Thanks for the tip Lou, but no joy. I did shut the camera off and go into the menu and switch to down convert. Powered the A-1 back on and presto, the footage was up on my computer. I'm still lost. Any other ideas?

this is really frustrating the way they have it set up. i capture video plenty of times, but this time i recorded a VHS tape in to the camera. now i dont know which settings will work to capture the footage and i've tried them all.
