XH-A1 + Firestore FS-C
I have a shoot coming up which requires recording a 2 hour presentation without a break. I'll either use a second camera to cover a tape change around half way, or I'm thinking of using a Firestore FS-C.
Question can I set the FS-C to record and while its doing just that - change a tape in the XH-A1? Can I independently get the FS-C to record from the camera without hitting the record button on the cam? If so then I could use the Firestore as primary recording medium, with the tape as a backup (with a gap in the presentation where I change tapes..). Anyone tried this? Thx, Rgds, Ross. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

To laptop record I would
I believe Adobe has software that allows you to record right to your laptop. I just got it but haven't used it in the field yet. Hopefully more knowledgeable people will be able to help you.

If it's that important I'd run 2 cams all the way, one 60secs behind the other and maybe a HV20 during the tape change. You could also use that for side shots.
Cheers. |
