Best Encoding settings for the web using vegas 7
Hi I'm using Vegas 7 and I can't get any good video without compression blocks for the web. I have tried several settings setting the video quality at 100% and they look too compressed. I need help on how to encode the videos not showing compression blocks.
Thanks guys. |

- What is your target format (windows media, quicktime, etc.)? - What size video are you going for ? (320x240, 480x360, etc.?) - What bitrate are you using? - What is the nature of your source material? Is it very noisy (e.g. dark in low light), a lot of movement, etc.? That may help determine how you would best encode it as well. We can try a few passes of the vegas windows media encoder to see if you get better results, or also if you have a lot of FX, etc. in your video, you may want to render the whole thing to a single AVI file and then use that one for encoding for web, this way you won't be re-applying all of those FX each time you try your web render. Also, you can render small pieces of it just to see how the settings are working. If you can reply on the above types of questions perhaps we can see what else is needed. |
