Winter preset anyone?
Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has come up with a nice preset for shooting snowy winter landscapes? Where I live there is no snow and where I'm going there is little time for playing around. Or is best option to shoot natural, use manual white balance and tweak in post? Best regards, Magnus, Amsterdam |

Hi Magnus, I used the natural preset yesterday with the sunny skies or daylight white balance setting. This seemed to work well. It was sunny at the time. Some recommend manual white balancing on the snow. This may work better when it is overcast. When the sun is out, the sky lighting can be complex and yield blue hues in the snow in shadows, amber or pink when the sun is low etc. I think the natural preset is an excellent starting point, and you probably won't have to do to much to get the look you want.
