I broke mine, Service question

Well, I broke my A1. I was using it with a Firestore for several days and I guess I bumped the firewire connection in the back too many times. This is really a bad design for use with the Firestore. Anyway, I now get intermittent connection through that port. I cannot use the Firestore at all and capturing is tedious.

I need to send it in for repair. Anyone have any experience with a similar repair and can give me an estimate on cost/time?

Clay

Canon is very responsive, but I do not know the cost of the repair.

The service center can give you that information.

I thought you might be interested in how this turned out. I shipped it to Canon on Tuesday. They received it Wednesday and shipped it back to me Friday, no charge. Great service.

I have used the New Jersey center myself and have had nothing but good experience. There response time is one very strong reason to purchase Canon.
