Display Question

I just had this happen yesterday and again I am VERY new to this video work, I did a short video of the kids, and had left the display on, when I captured the video it captured the display also. Is this normal

Seems that before when using Vagas is did not do this, I am now using premier. Not sure if I had changed a setting on the camera making this happen, or its in the editing program, or I just need to make sure the display is off when recording.

Thanks

capture display

I am assuming that you used the video output to capture. This output does have the display information (what I assume you mean by "display") included if you select the appropriate variable in the presets (I have a custom key set to toggle it (see TV SCREEN on p71 of*the english manual)). The firewire output will never have this information embedded and I don't really know about the HDMI since I don't use it.

I was using the firewire to capture from the camera.

You may have inadvertently had "character rec" ON in the custom function menu.

Glad you got it sorted out. Which DVD are you referring to? Maybe there's other "suggestions" people should be aware not to do :)

Inside the Canon XH A1 by VASST.

Could have been my error, not sure.
