XH-A1 capturing compatibility

I've read that the HV20 works as a great deck for the A1, but I am to be in a situation where I may have to take footage taken from an HV20 and put it on my computer, but I would only have access to my A1 to capture the tapes. Is it safe to assume that the A1 can be used to capture HV20 24p footage? I know the HV20 is often used as a deck for 24f A1 footage, but I do not know if the opposite works as well. Any insight would be appreciated.

Since topic compares both cameras, I was uncertain exactly what forum to put this in, but put it here since the A1 is the camera I would be using to capture it. Hope this is the right spot for the question.
