FCP capture setup settings.
I have FCP 6.0 and of course the Canon XHA1. I could use some help in "how to" capture my HD footage into FCP so that after editing I can export the file as SD. In FCP under Easy Setup I can select "1080i60 Firewire basic" set up, but what should I select if I shoot video footage in 1080i 30frames?

You can use the same 1080i 60 settings to capture 30f footage.

The trick is never to mix footage within the same tape when you are capturing. It gives a lot of problems.
I have a work flow for HDV footage to SD DVD out put that I've posted some time ago. http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=102079 I hope it helps |
