Tape problem - not playing
Hi all
Recorded an hour of footage on my A1 last week on the same tape stock I always use (at 25p). Played back a short section at the start to check everything was fine, and it was. When I try to play the tape, or capture it, it plays, sticks, jumps and basically bombs out. Another tape recorded the same day is fine, and other tapes are playing fine. Is this tape basically toast, or have I got some options here? thanks Ian |

Fast forward it fully, then rewind it.
Next, give it a little shake (or slap it into the palm of your hand a couple of times) to settle the mechanism and try again. |

Thanks, Bill. Unfortunately this hasn't helped. The tape is playing fine from about 50min in to the end, but anywhere else it starts playing for a second or two, then the "25F" letters next to "HDV" flash and the audio stops and then everything stops, then it starts again.
Anyone else got an idea? Many thanks, Ian |
