A1 cable connectors RCA or BNC?
Greetings Canon people.
I have a third shooter for a live projected event and need to know what type of connectors the A1 has. The other two cams are JVC HD200's. I looked at Canon's website but just wanted to confirm here as the Canon site just isn't pretty. The A1 uses RCA connectors for both component and for composite out right? Also, the camera automatically down converts the HD signal to SD (anomorphic 16x9) when connected via composite right? Let me know! |

SD composite video output on the XH A1 / G1 is user selectable. Choose either a BNC connection, or a 1/8th-inch triple ring-tip-sleeve connection which has standard RCA plugs at the other end. This special cable is included with the camera.
HD component video output is a D-terminal connection on the camera side with standard RCA plugs at the other end. This special cable is included with the camera. Yes, the camera automatically down converts the HD signal to SD anamorphic 16x9 when connected via either BNC or 1/8" AV composite outputs. Hope this helps, |
