Xh-A1 Monitor Cable Solution

Just bought a HD location monitor with bnc component inputs. What is best solution for connecting to XH-a1? Is it as easy as buying 3 Female RCA to BNC adapters or do I need a special HD cable? Will I loose quality (not HD) if I just use any run of the mill CA/BNC adapter?

Thanks.

Do not worry so much about the RCA>BNC adapter. You can buy reasonable gold plated adapters at Radio Shack.

The real issue will be the cable itself. Ideally, keep your runs low and buy a high quality component cable. Cheap cables are more acceptable to noise interference.

New cable

Is the cable that comes with the Xh-a1 not good? Can you recommend a good replacement?

I didn't understand Steve's comment either.

The component cable supplied with the A1 is fine.

rca and bnc are different types of connectors used for connecting devices together. rca type connectors are just that, they are what is on the supplied component cable. a bnc connector is the video 2(?) output on the side of the camcorder. bnc connectors lock onto the device that they are connected to ensuring that the cables do not come disconnected.
