A1 custom Presets

i think this forum is amazing...thank you all gor the incredible info

i just purchased the a1 and have been getting lost in all of the possible settings for lighting conditions..has anyone posted a chart of presets for different lighting situations:outdoor bright/cloudy...inside incandescent...stage performance/spotlight...night time...dawn/dusk...etc

i do not have as much time or no how to figure out and fine tune my own settings

thanks in advance

Hi David,

The Excel speadsheet that I made to accompany our Custom Presets download library has some notes on it regarding what sort of conditions each preset is designed for. Best thing to do is to start with that and experiment on your own. The presets download library link is http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=81071

can't thank you enough for those presets...i will play around with them this weekend
two more queries:
i also needed help with a technical issue. I bought a focus enhancements fs-4HD and was able to record to it, but was unable to use it without also running a tape...now i plan on using tape when i need the insurance, but i would like be able to use the direct to disk without using tape...

second, maybe i missed this in the manual ,but is there a way to record the on screen settings while you are shooting? it would save alot of time and help the tweaking process..i shoot theater productions and i write the settings down during the rehearsal and then during playback make my decisions for the actual performance shoot. Seems to me it would be easier to see the settings on screen to be most acurate. hope this wasn't confusing
