exposure recommendations for night football games
I just received my A1 in time to shoot my son's football games. I wish I had more time to experiment. I need to have this puppy dialed in by Friday night. So here's my question: Does anyone have some solid exposure settings for covering football under stadium lighting. I have a white balance card so I'm not worried about that. My old Sony HC1 was mostly automatic and I'm unsure as to appropriate shutter speed in particular.
Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated. I did shoot a scrimmage during the day and experimented with the presets downloaded from DVI and the footage was gorgeous ! |

That's a tough one, Brent. Experimentation is always best, because lighting conditions change from field to field.
I suggest you don't change anything from the normal settings. White balance and don't go higher than 12dB of gain. Hopefully, there will be enough light for that. As an alternative, you might try the "LowLT12" preset in the Presets sticky thread at the top of the forum. Let us know the results. Buddy |
