Frame Rate Help Please.

Ok, am ready to start playing with my XH-A1 but need a good starting point.

I have read the manual and not sure which frame rate is right for me. I dont have to shoot HD right now, what would you suggest for a newbie that wants the easiest to download and edit. I would like to use slow motion etc some but don't want to start with the hardest to shoot and edit?

Thanks
Denny

Depends on what NLE you're using. If you have FCP 5.1.2 or above, there's no problem capturing and editing Canon's 24F. If you have Avid XpressPro, I don't think it will do it yet. You probably should do some tests and see for yourself before doing any serioius shooting. Whether you can get decent slow motion will also depend on your NLE. Avid's slomo is better than FCP's, and neither one is very good if there's a lot of lateral motion in the frame.
