XF300 Autofocus Reaction Time
On my Canon 1D bodies I can adjust how quickly the AF reacts to a sudden change in the distance from the focus point. This is for sports type scenarios where you don't want to lose focus when another player runs through the field of view. Do the XF300/305 cameras have anything like that? I can't find it if they do, and to be fair, the camera refocuses so quickly after a sudden incursion of a person walking between the camera and subject, it is not a huge problem, but there are still a few frames of OOF footage.

Re: XF300 Autofocus Reaction Time
Trevor, first, you made the right choice on going with the Canon battery. Third party batteries just don't cut it. Trust me, the last thing you want is to run out of juice on a shoot because you wanted to save a few bucks. As for adjusting Autofocus speed, you can switch from Instant autofocus to Normal autofocus. Go to Menu/camera setup/AF Mode/Speed. Try it. Bob
