Hi Trond, thanks. Issue came up a week ago when second shooter turned up with an NTSC camera and I would have been happy to just shoot 30p/60i but couldn't. Back in 2011 the PAL version of the XF100 was $800 more than the NTSC version, so shrewd buyers bought an NTSC version in the US, had it upgraded so they got both formats and saved $300. Or you went to a Canon service centre in say Norway or Australia which probably as matter of policy denied it was possible so they could sell PAL cameras at the inflated price. But now its 2013, there's no difference in street price, Canon DSLRs for example all do PAL and NTSC frame rates, the conversion is fast and easy, so why doesn't Canon just make it available?
