xf100 with merlin steadicam
hi there
just looking for peoples thoughts on using a merlin steadicam with xf100; I am shooting a doc at the minute where there is little in the way of static interview. lots of walking and talking. I was just wondering if a merlin might be what I need ; the only thing is I will have a shogun mic, long life battery and a radio mic on board also. What do you guys think ; will i still be able to reap the benefits of the steadicam. I would like to hear anyones experiences regards Barry |

Re: xf100 with merlin steadicam
If you want to film for more than a couple of minutes at a time without taking a rest you will need a vest as well. Have a look at blackbird as well, reports are it is easier to balance. I just got one and after a couple of days of intermittent practice Im starting to get some shots Im really happy with.
