xf100 and SmallHD for Event
I recently used my xf100 for event projects at our church. One was a 3-camera shoot (with another xf100 and my XH-A1s which has since been traded in) and another was just a 1-camera shoot.
The combination of a SmallHD 6 inch HD monitor and the Canon zr 2000 zoom control was very useful when camera operators had to "keep our heads down" but still operate the xf100's effectively. The zr2000 provides adjustable zoom speed and off-camera control location. The attached image shows one of the setups. Additional equipment: - Rode NTG-1 on Rycote mount (for backup audio) into XLR 1 - Sachtler Cine DSLR fluid head on Gitzo CF legs - Zacuto arm with Manfrotto clamp - Sony 7506 headphones Additional equipment not shown: - SD 302 field mixer (getting feed from sound board) into XLR 2 - Marantz Pro 661 with Oade Brothers mods (getting feed from sound board) for further backup audio. |

Re: xf100 and SmallHD for Event
Was the XF100 a significant improvement over the XHA1s? I'm asking because, I have since traded in mine and have opted to go with the XLH1 instead. I am also considering making a move to the XF100 but the lack of a second and third ring is a huge turn off for me.
Any thoughts? |
