xf100 settings erased when I change battery at DVinfo.net

Hi, I love this camera especially with my new settings. But when I change the battery, all my settings just disappear and I have to re transfer them from sd card... Not very convenient... is it normal? Thanks!

Old thread, I realize but it seems to be the case with my 305 that there is a small internal rechargeable battery that seems to be charged when you connect the main battery. At first, my camera would reset every time I changed batteries, but is able to hold the settings much longer now. If your situation has not resolved itself, perhaps the internal is defective?
