Testing some CP files...

Some of these are on these CP files are on these boards, others are on the vimeo group:
Canon XF Video forum on Vimeo

DEEP CLR is too much. The default Canon Video CP is not bad... will be playing more ASAP.

Re: Testing some CP files...

just noticed this post Harry, after I posted about trying to find a good preset to use. I agree - Deep Clear is waaay too much! Where people were being filmed I found it unusable - flesh tones were extremely pink (and some people with Red faces just looked as though the blood pressure was about to burst!) Blacks lacked depth - just couldn't use it.

Could any users out there name their favourite preset that they stick with? I'm mixing my footage occasionally with SLR stuff - and the SLR is beating it 97% of the time!!!! :-(

Re: Testing some CP files...

The Vimeo group I linked to has a bunch by Brian Weed - I like his XF Mojo and Tru Vid. I tend to use the Tru Vid most so far... But I also play with the Canon Video setting with a few personal adjustments, and I have also toned down the DEEP CLR setting (its called DEEP 2 in the youtube clip) - but it is still too much for faces - but good for grassy fields / skies/ fall leaves and so on.

If I had to pick one I'd start with TRU VID from Brian and adjust as needed.

Invite him in here and ask him to post them directly on DVi -- we are the largest Canon XF forum in the world, after all.
