XF100 NTSC/PAL Upgrade - Cost?
Has anyone had this upgrade done? I've sent off an email to Canon USA and Canada but have yet to hear back.
I'd love to know a) how much it costs and b) how long it took Canon to perform the upgrade. Many thanks. Dave |

Re: XF100 NTSC/PAL Upgrade - Cost?
It is around $500usd to do the upgrade at Canon centers worldwide, a big chunk of change. Some people here shipped theirs to Canon and got it back in a week, some others brought theirs into the Canon center personally and had it flashed in an hour or so.
Here in Hong Kong, it is $500usd to flash, and the rep says it can be picked up in an hour or so after drop off if the technicians are not busy. |

Many thanks.
Yes $500 seems like a lot to spend if it's just a firmware upgrade. |

I wish we can just download it off their website, and flash it through a CF card... for free. :)
