I made the tripod quite a bit sturdier by not extending the bottom legs, this has made quite a difference. Less cumbersome to carry too.
The Libec controller arrived today and it certainly is smooth. There is a simple start / stop button and the rocker switch. I can hold this in my hand with the Manfrotto cable for super smooth zooms even at the max zoom. Looking forward to using it in the field.
