Matt/Filter box for 305
Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me what brand of matt/filter box is used in Doug's DVD (vortex) on the Canon XF300/305 and where to get one. Tried to get one over here but to no avail... Thanks |

Re: Matt/Filter box for 305
I'm using an older Vocas matte box with two slots. But I'm having to compromise a bit.
1. I can only use the slot nearest the lens on wide shots, as using the second slot shows the edges of the filter holder. 2. Also, because the mike on the XF is so far forward, I have to load fliters from the side, and if I use a gradient, I have to rotate and insert the filter from the bottom, as there is not enough clearance from above.

Re: Matt/Filter box for 305
We like the Chrosziel 450W package.......Matte box with 2 - 4x5.650 rotating trays, on rods, and their follow focus seems to work the best with the gear ring on the 300/305s.
