New Shoulder System for XF300 & 305

I have made a special tripod plate and wing for the 300 & 305.

My EX1 system was not a good fit for these fantastic Canon Cameras.

There are pictures below showing the system.

The tripod plate provides a very stable flat surface with lots of 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes as well as 4mm threaded holes for many mattebox systems. I am working on a rail system for this and other cameras right now.

The wing is for holding wireless mics or a NanoFlash or KiProMini. There are also NanoFlash arms available for mounting more mics and NanoFlash.

The shoulder brace comes off easily and quickly and can be set up with a battery (AB Goldmount or IDX V-mount) plate or just with velcro for any battery. Some of the photos also show the optional VCT-14 wedge that fits Sony style plates or the Canon TA-100 quick release system (I use this myself it is great).

I am making a small batch to start. If you are interested in this system, contact me, I will be shipping initial units in early January.

One more note, just like this camera the shoulder system can be flipped for left eye dominant shooters.

Merry Xmas all!

The new system looks great how will it work with a Panasonic AG-HMC 150?

Randy, I don't know. But my guess is that the 150 is quite a bit smaller than the 305. So my EX1 plate kit would be a better fit. But the new shoulder brace may work well with the Pany.

If you want to try that (I have not tried yet) contact me and I can set up a test for you.

Hi
That looks quite good. How much ? I'd be up for buying a unit. I'd really like one with rails to hold my Matte box though.
Regards
Mark

Mark, I have a rail system in the works right now as well, it will be available in January.

My preliminary pricing will be:
$150.00 for the plate and wing.
$45.00 for Shoulder brace (IDX or AB plate is extra, I am still waiting for their pricing)

The Rail System will also be affordable, I don't have the exact production costs on that yet, but it will be in $300.00 range, for a universal system (it will fit any camera).

My Rods are being made right now they are 6061 T6 tempered anodized thick wall aluminum with threaded ends so they can be spliced, very sturdy but light.

Prices on Rods only will be:
$59.00 per 12”
$79.00 per 18”
$43.00 per 6”

Anyone interested in pre ordering can contact me.
