As others have said, there's a lot more to it than just CCD vs CMOS. One thing you may find interesting is the review of both cameras by an expert:

This is because of the special way that the XH-A1 sensor was read out in frame mode (which gives you a truly progressive image, but at the cost of more aliasing and less resolution). |
