10-bit? 8-bit?

Is the camera's codec 10-bit or 8-bit? I've heard both.

Hi Glen-
The CODEC is MPEG2 Long-GOP 50Mbps 4:2:2 8-bit. The HD-SDI output is also (effective) 8-bit.
