Can't import 720p25 slow-mo footage into FCP
I shot some 720p25 50Mbps footage at 50fps using slow motion.
Canon says to transcode to ProRes using Log and Transfer for 720p25 50Mbps materal. But it just wouldn't work and a window keep coming up saying there is a problem. If I switch to Native using Log and Transfer, it will ingest but when I play back the clip, it will say clip cannot be played. Does anybody know what's going on? Could it have something to do with FCP 6.05 and G5? I could ingest and play 1080p25 with no problems. |

Does the Canon shoot slow motion natively? In other words does it lay down 50fps material as 25P so it's ready to playback in slow motion? If this is the case it should import as normal 25P material.
I'm pretty sure this is what would happen with an EX1 or a Varicam for instance, I assume the Canon will be the same? Steve |

I have done variable frame rate footages with Panasonic, Sony and JVC and all works okay.
But something's with Canon... wondering if perhaps the XF plugin/driver not working well with G5? Strangely though, I could ingest and play 1080p25. |
