Copy all files - is a bit flukey?

Hi,
Yesterday, We videoed and used about 25 gig of our 32 gig Extreme card. We have a second, identical card we wanted to copy the files to - thus creating a backup.

We initialized the second card and did the copy all clips. It worked fine . . . EXCEPT it says we have 12 minutes on the the original card remaining. But on the "copy" card - it says we have 22 minutes remaining!

How can that be? They should be the same? Anyone else run into this?

Interestingly, we've done it twice. In one test, the copy wouldn't even be recognized by the Canon XF Utility. . . in the other test, we STILL got different times remaining, but at least the Utility DID see the copy.

Anyone know what gives here? Can we trust copying one card to another? Is Canon making buggy software? Or I'm hoping we're doing something wrong!
