Best method to down-res XF footage to SD

Hi all,

Loving the XF300 by the way and have appreciated all the posts over the past few months because they all helped influence my decision.

I've been experimenting with various workflows when down-res to SD is needed using FCP. Any favorite methods out there?

FCP--> export to quicktime/stand alone --> compressor?

Just wondering if people export from the original HD timeline initially.

Thanks!
