XA10 Custom Control Mod at DVinfo.net

I'm testing using the manual settings and the tiny custom controls on the back. The rig I have, which I use to record bike races so I'm on the move a lot, makes adjusting these really difficult. Since my camera is out of warranty I'm tossing around the idea of making external controls. Basically moving the button and pot outside the camera and about 10" away. Not sure if it will work but if anyone has heard of this and can provide some tips or knows any place that does these kind of mods I'd appreciate it. Cheers
