Immediate help needed --- camera problems!
I'm on a shoot and our b-roll cam, a Canon Vixia HV 30, suddenly started having a problem. No matter where I put the power switch, it stays in play mode. It will not record or even turn off (without removing the battery). It does play and rewind fine, but again, just a blue screen when I'm in record mode. I've reset from the button on the bottom of the cam and nothing changed.
We're desperate here -- any suggestions? Is there a "hard reboot" or something else we could do? |

Try a new tape or maybe the tape is set to "save" not "record".

Hi Krista, sorry but that sounds to me like it's going to be a job for Canon factory service to fix.

Re: Immediate help needed --- camera problems!
Yes, unfortunately we've tried new tapes and the reset button. I was afraid our only option was Canon repair. Thanks for your thoughts.
