HV20 deck/monitoring question

I am about to purchase an HV20 for use mainly as a deck. I currently use a small miniDV cam as a deck and when editing I run the firewire into the camera and then take the composite output to a television for monitoring. Is there a way to do the same thing with the HV20 for HD monitoring either through the HDMI or component output? I am trying to save money on buying a Blackmagic or similar device.

Yes -- on the HV20 you have the choice of using HDMI, component (HD) or composite (SD) video output in addition to FireWire.
