HV20 Recording analog via Video-In? (Urgent help needed)
Hi,
Sorry for the silly questions but: How can I enable analog video-in recording on HV20? What cables do I need? What should I enable or disable from the menus? I have that cable with mono 3,5mm looking plug plugged into HV and standard RCA at the other end plugged to PC`s analog video output but HV shows no image. Thanks in advance, T |

I have not tried it yet, but there are instructions in the manual.
However, keep in mind that analog in only works in DV modes, not HDV. |

Also, I believe you need to enable "AV-DV" in the menus.

OK, problem solved as follows:
Cam in PLAY mode Push the menu button and from the first selection "execute" rec/pause It works something like 5minutes and then goes to sleep so be quic to push rec or reactivate the rec/pause I almost made it to record from laptop s-video out but shame the signal went BW with the conversion cable... ... I wish I could record desktop activity or anything happening on the screen via firewire Cheers, T |
